Bullock And Kidman Reportedly Set To Return

Twenty-Six Years After Hit 1998 Movie

A Practical Magic sequel is officially in the works, according to multiple reports. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reportedly in talks to reprise their roles in the follow-up to the 1998 supernatural comedy-drama.

The original Practical Magic, based on the novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman, starred Bullock and Kidman as two witch sisters who must break a curse that has plagued their family for generations. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $120 million worldwide.

A sequel to Practical Magic has been in development for several years, with Bullock and Kidman expressing interest in returning to their roles. In 2019, it was reported that a script for the sequel had been completed. However, the project has been delayed due to various factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the sequel does move forward, it will be directed by Ann Fletcher, who previously helmed The Proposal and 27 Dresses. No release date has been announced.
