The football community is rallying around Liverpool icon Alan Hansen, who remains seriously ill in hospital.
Hansen, 67, has been a pundit on Match of the Day for 22 years, but retired in 2014. He made his final appearance on the show on 11 May 2014, the final day of the 2013-14 English league season.
No further details about Hansen's condition have been released, but the football community has been quick to offer their support.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: "Alan is a Liverpool legend and a great football man. We are all thinking of him and his family at this difficult time."
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said: "Alan is a true gentleman and a great friend. I am praying for him and his family."
